New Beginnings Practice

Next week is our yearly New Beginnings
therefore we practiced for
it.

Our theme for the Youth is;
"Arise and stand forth, that thy light may be a
standard unto the nations."
So our skit and song is based on that theme,
Well, our skit is quit cool.
We have 4 girls;
2 active members;
1 doubting member;
and 1 non-member.

And the Mia Maids are playing these parts.

So we practiced it, and we all are great at our parts.
We all know just how
to act for them

.

This is so cool. I get to play the part of the non-member,
and boy am I gonna have
fun with that part! Ahahaha

Some girls should just recognize that the
sooner they let me
take their picture, the sooner
I'll let them
be... ;)

 Thank you Abby!

See!! How come boys will let me take their pictures?!
You would think
that it would be the girls!
I guess not.

I'm not really sure where this picture
came from . . . .
. . . . but you have to admit,
it is quite pretty. In an odd way.

After we practiced our skit, we had a surprise cake and present for our dearest leaders
to-be-baby.

I got a few cute pictures.
It was eaten quickly.
:D

Some of our other leaders couldn't
wait to try the cake.

It was gone in a few minutes.

I can't wait till next week! Our New Beginnings will be
quite the evening!
:D

Lego Telephone

I have never heard of Lego Telephone,
until Tashina told us
that was our combined activity for mutual.

But even then, she gave us a very vague
idea of what it actually
was.

And on the evening of mutual she texted me and asked if I would
help her decide a few ideas to make
with legos.

So I went over to her house and we came up with a few ideas.

This was my car.
It was really complicated.
(Please excuse the blur, the lighting wasn't right)

So, let me tell you how we did this,

We all divided into two teams.
And like the game telephone, we had one person from each team
(Tashina and I)
whisper the instructions on how to make the car into
someones ear.
The next person would whisper those instructions down
and so on.

After each team finished, we traded sides.

But the boys kinda left us girls to do it.
So we did. And after each team had done it,
I looked at the car that was modeled, I wish that I had remembered
to take pictures, because the cars
didn't turn out the way that I had thought they would.
It was quite humorous.

But I got out my phone anyway and took pictures.
Here is our other teams leader
Tashina, and Brad

And Abby invited her dearest cousin to join us

Here is our board of names. I quite like it,..

After awhile of me shooting random pictures, I was asked to
give a warning before I
took anymore pictures,
so I did.

That didn't work out so well,
they still were surprised.

We then had a final round of telephone, and I started
it with
'Tuesdays are the best day of my life'
and that went around,
Well, after Josh had told me what he had heard,
I told everyone how it started as
'Tuesdays are the best day of my life'
and how it ended
'P B & J's'!
We all got a kick out of that!

What a great mutual evening it was indeed!
And we all learned how to play a new game!
Lego Telephone.

Valentine Heart Attack

If there was something that
our entire youth group enjoys,
it would be heart attacking.
When you quietly sneak up to someones door and put paper all over their
door and leave a treat
You knock and then run to the car and leave.
The thrill is just the best!
So, just as you guesses that is what we did for mutual.
The temptation was too good to resist.

So we started by writing some wonderful Valentine
notes on paper hearts,
and while we were writing our notes we snacked on cookies and chocolates
Yumm

And we got some paper doilies, and as I was taping them, they would
stick together and that was a little annoying.
;)

Aren't they so pretty
We had a good time figuring out what to put down
on the cards

Tashina and I had a great time running ninja-like to the
doors, taping paper to them and leaving treats at the door.
And then the excitement of knocking really hard and running to the car
made up warm up fast.

What a great and exciting evening we had that was full of laughter!
