For our mutual activity, the youth went on a 6 mile intermediate hike. And it was really fun!
We left our church building at 6:45 am to get to the camp
site where the father and sons
had their 'father and sons' outing,
to have breakfast with them.
We had homemade
burritos
The fire place was one of the popular places,
next to the food,
of course ;)
Camping is fun, for all ages and sizes!
Yes, everyone have their cameras and phones
out, taking pictures!
After we had our breakfast, we got back in the car and
drove down the street
and started our hike!
It was quite a lovely day!
The sun was shining, and everyone was,
for the most part,
happy to be there!
Sometimes, it is just easier to walk backwards.
Ya know?
Along the way, we started to separate into groups.
And at our third mile marker, we stopped to wait for
those behind
us.
There was a little trail at this point.
I started to go up it
It was pretty.
All covered in trees
These pictures are on our way down the trail
Ever have the feeling that going up a trail is hard,
but then as soon as you start
to go down,
it seems harder than going up?
Yeah. That was the way for the most of us :)
Trees
Trees
And guess what?
More trees!!
Our feet were quite tired after our little hike when we came
back for lunch
But over all it was a great day, and
a lot of our youth came
and had a great time!
We will have to do this again!
